Knitting beyond the human body.
Exploring how textile techniques can shape objects, light, and space.

This project started with a question: Can knitting be used not just for clothing, but also to shape space?

I began exploring how knitted textiles could interact with structure. I created lamps, shelves, and other objects that combine softness with stability. The aim was to test how far knitting can be pushed as a design method outside of fashion.

My approach was hands-on and experimental. I tested different yarns, worked with structural elements, and explored how knitted fabric responds to tension and light. The pieces developed through trial and error, guided by material tests and spontaneous decisions.

The results are objects that sit somewhere between furniture and sculpture. They serve a function, but they also reflect a way of working with textiles that is open-ended and curious.

While not yet part of a collection for sale, this body of work represents a growing exploration of knitting as a spatial medium – one that reimagines the boundaries between craft and contemporary design.

More pieces are in development, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads.
